Agency of the Year - This celebrates the agency which, thanks to the adoption, use or creation of technology, has shown itself to tangibly achieve and / or deliver better work or solutions for the clients it serves, as well as how the agency has developed as a business entity in its own right.
Best App - This celebrates innovative apps in the sports sector which markedly improve the end-user experience of the market(s) being targeted.
Best Digital Technology - This celebrates technology, spanning electronic tools, systems, devices and resources that generate, store or process data, including but not limited to broadcast, social media, online games, multimedia and mobile devices, that improves the end-user experience, informs or educates its target market better, or informs organizational growth.
Best Innovation of the Year - This celebrates the best technological innovation in sports created over the past 18 months (the innovation must have been tangibly available no earlier than June 2017). Concepts are ineligible.
Rights Holder / Governing Body / Team of the Year - This celebrates the rights holder, governing body, international federation or team which, thanks to the adoption, use or creation of technology, has shown itself to tangibly improve its work. This improvement can be either in a single, significant area or across its entire jurisdiction or organization.
Sponsor of the Year - This celebrates the sponsor which, thanks to the adoption, use or creation of technology, has achieved its sponsorship objectives. These span products showcasing, brand awareness, hospitality, audience engagement, improvement of the entity it sponsors etc. or a mix of all the above. The entry can pertain to one campaign or an overall sponsorship activation.
Best Sports Broadcast (Single or Series) - This celebrates the sports radio, tv or digital broadcast which has used technology to improve the end-user experience. Submissions can be for a single programme, series or tournament.
Most Innovative Sports Equipment or Apparel - This celebrates innovative sports equipment or apparel created over the past 24 months (to have been on general release no earlier than January 2016) which enables more effective performance in a single or multiple sports. This includes but is not limited to clothing, gloves, footwear, training and conditioning equipment, body, joint and head protection and equipment such as rackets, bats, skis and boards.
Most Innovative Sports Partnership - This celebrates technology-led work in sports, involving two or more entities, where solutions have been created for tangible and relevant challenges and opportunities.
Best Technology for Athlete Welfare - This celebrates technology which specializes in ‘off field’ care, ensuring athletes of any level are safeguarded across any facet of mental and / or physical health. This includes but is not limited to, technology that facilitates rapid identification, avoidance or treatment of injuries and issues, or which helps injured or unwell athletes recover.
Best Technology for Elite Performance - This celebrates technology which enables elite athletes or their managers and coaches to be more effective in improving performance.
Best Technology for eSports - This celebrates technology created for or by eSports businesses, leagues, teams, and organizations which tangibly improves the end-user experience and / or enables the eSports entity to undertake its work more quickly, innovatively or cost-effectively.
Best Technology for Fan Engagement - This celebrates technology which enables better engagement between fans and sports entities of all types.
Best Technology for Participation - This celebrates technology which has a measurable impact on promoting, improving or increasing participation at any level of sport.
Best Technology for Sports Betting - This celebrates technology created for or by sports betting businesses which tangibly improves the end-user experience and / or enables the betting company to achieve growth and / or undertake its work more quickly, innovatively or cost-effectively.
Best Technology for Sports Commerce - This celebrates technology which enables better commercial performance in any organizations working in sports or any aspect of a sports organization. This includes, but is not limited to, work in areas such as data, WIFI / connectivity, CRM, media, ticketing or transactional services.
Most Innovative Technology-Led Campaign - This celebrates any campaign in sport (including but not limited to marketing, sponsorship, education, advertising etc.) that was structured around ground-breaking data insights or digital technology.
Best Wearable Technology - This celebrates innovative wearable technology created over the past 24 months (to have been on general release no earlier than January 2016) which enables more effective performance in a single or multiple sport. Technology targeting elite athletes or mass market technology is eligible to enter.

Committed to innovation in sports
The Awards are serious about honest, authentic and authoritative scrutiny and this is reflected both by the outstanding profile of our judging panel and the process by which entries are judged.
All judging is completed online, independently of and without reference to any other scorer; each judge marks every element of the entry form, then submits a total score for each shortlisted entry. In the case of a tie, at least one other judge is asked to evaluate these in the same way to determine the winner.
