The National Network for Innovation In Sport and Health is an ambitious and rapidly growing initiative dedicated to transforming the landscape of sport and healthcare technology.

Led by Swansea University and backed by Swansea Bay City Deal and local health boards, the Network seeks to accelerate the development of sport tech, med tech and healthcare innovation. It does this by uniting expertise from local, national and international stakeholders across academia, industry and the NHS.

This dynamic partnership is designed to strengthen existing collaborations while forging new alliances. Its goal: to attract world-class talent, stimulate investment, and establish Wales as a hub for cutting-edge sport and health technology.

The Network is quickly gaining momentum. It recently sponsored the prestigious Sports Technology Awards, welcomed rugby legend Alun Wyn Jones to its team and tech giants Vodafone joined as the Network’s latest members.

Professor Keith Lloyd, Swansea University Professor of Clinical Psychiatry and Head of the Network, commented: “We are excited to introduce the National Network for Innovation in Sport & Health, a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to enhancing sport and wellbeing in the UK and beyond.
